AECATALOGCONFIG command can be used for accessing the Configure Database dialog box, which allows user to connect and choose his/her catalogue as well as footprint databases directly on SQL Server instance.

Content Migration Utility has also been introduced in AutoCAD Electrical 2017 version and represents a lightweight migration tool based on GUI, which provides user with ability to develop AutoCAD Electrical toolset catalogue database (including footprint databases and catalogue) on SQL Server instance. This utility can also be used for migration of default catalogue data (in Microsoft Access tables format) to SQL Server instance.

If the project is linked to AutoCAD Inventor assembly in a form of an electromechanical project, then user is provided with an option produce Bill of Material report in a combined form. This option contains Inventor parts and can be accessed whenever a user generates Panel or Schematic Bill of Material report. When using the said option, all electrical parts of your Inventor assembly automatically become part of the report.
