• Thanks to the new function of associative import of CAD data from files of such formats as Alias, CATIA, NX, SolidWorks and Pro-E / Creo, it is possible to keep the link with the selected document. Moreover, all imported geometry in the program is updated in the process of changing the model.


• The selective import function allows you to read geometry only from the necessary data, which significantly speeds up the work process. A new "Selection" tab has also been added, using which you can specify the files that need to be imported.


• Support for multi-threaded processing allows you to get the most out of your PC. All of this will help increase productivity when working on project files imported from other CAD systems.


• Use the appropriate command to project the DWG geometry. Once completed, the resulting parts can be used to create any modeling elements.


• 3D models, which are created on the basis of DWG geometry, are closely related to the 2D geometry of AutoCAD, so their change is always interconnected.


• Combine AutoCAD drawings and data from other CAD systems for three-dimensional modeling into a single full-fledged digital model, thereby creating a virtual representation of the future product.

Benefits of Autodesk Inventor 2016:

• Dropped support for 32-bit platforms. Inventor 2016 32 bit simply does not exist, since this version only Autodesk Inventor 2016 64 bit can be installed.
