Snap Working Pivot
Allows you to change the position and orientation of the work point for various modeling actions, including Smart Extrude, adding bones, or rigging. The tools are available from the main menu Tools > Snap Working Pivot Tools or from the new toolbar of the same name, as well as from the context menu. A work point can be placed with reference to any vertex, edge or face of the selected object, all these manipulations are done interactively.
Creating a Point from a Working Pivot
It became possible to create a Point Helper from the position and orientation of the active work point, which will make it easier to add and align work points with them.
When modeling or creating an animation, it becomes necessary to add auxiliary Pivot objects to create a hierarchy or simply add markers. When using the "Create Point Helper from Working Pivot" command from a working pivot point, a new Point Helper object will be added to the scene, which is aligned to the position and orientation of the working pivot point.
Creating a Grid from a Working Pivot
It became possible to create new auxiliary grid objects based on the position and orientation of the active work point.
Export glTF files
Now you can export 3D models in glTF format for use in web applications, online stores, browser games, etc. glTF files support the geometry itself and the new glTF material, which gives an accurate representation in Max's viewports of what the model will look like when it is published online.
A new Autobackup toolbar has been added to Max and is provided as part of the default user interface. This toolbar provides a simple visual means to interact with the automatic scene backup process. Thanks to the auto-save timer, you can keep track of when the scene backup will start, make a manual backup, or reset the timer.
A lot of work has been done to improve the automatic backup for better performance and more comfortable working with the scene.
The scene will not be considered "changed" until an action is applied that can be undone and that is saved with the scene.
When saving a scene manually, the automatic backup timer (hereinafter referred to as backup) is reset so that there is no overlay after manual saving and then automatic.
Also in the user interface settings, some backup functions have been added and updated.
Check out the new features that have appeared in this version. Now it's easier to create soap bubbles and oily ones, thanks to the new Thin Film property. Also another property of the physical material was the ability to add a "shine" to fabrics using Sheen. The interaction between Max and Maya has also been improved as the physical material is now supported by FBX.
